All States Auctions & Appraisals

All States Auctions & Appraisals Pty Ltd has been using AuctionMan for appoximately 12 years. AuctionMan has evolved and continues to evolve into a more and more user-friendly program over the years making our job easier and faster. During an auction it is very easy to use and allows us to keep vendors up to the minute with the progress of the sale. The post-sale reports available in the program are essential for us but some of these do not appear to be in other programs that have been shown to us.

We have found AuctionMan to be relatively easy to use and it does not take long to introduce a new staff member to the program.

For many years now we have recorded our cataloging onto micro-cassettes which are then sent to the office for transcribing into the AuctionMan program and when we compare this system to the old days of hand writing the cataloging then having it typed prior to printing, typing the sales sheets, hand writing the invoices then typing the vendors' a/c sales you wonder how we had time to get any sale completed!

Program support has been excellent over the years with the ever patient Paul attending to late night and weekend phone calls for help whenever a problem arose.

We use AuctionMan/JNR in our organisation as we conduct all of our sales on-site and each sale is at a different site and AuctionMan/JNR caters well for all our needs in this area.

Armitage Auctions

I think Armitage Auctions must almost be one of the most long standing clients of Paul Leeder & Associates. From memory we started out with Paul in around 1988, so 17 years ago. Back of course in those days whilst AuctionMan had been fairly recently developed, it has certainly come a long way since then. I know at the time we had only the year before taken over Armitage Auctions and were very keen to see some of the tedious paperwork go.

Back in those days of course as with any new system there were lots of teething problems, but looking back I must say that Paul always excercised amazing patience and co-operation. I also think another plus was being able to contact Paul at almost anytime to have something or rather sorted out.

AuctionMan has certainly come a long way since then and as most people experiencing AuctionMan as their computer system know that it has been continually upgraded and improved to its current high level.

We find AuctionMan easy to use, which is really saying a lot, since the introduction of things like buyers premiums, GST, credit cards etc. etc., these changes have all helped in making "the job" so much more complicated. But with AuctionMan we have a system which has coped with these changes, it is easy to use and is a system which has also become very stable and reliable.

Whilst any computer software is only as good as the information fed into it, we find it certainly takes all the drudgery out of writing up selling sheets, hand dockets and account sales, writing cheques, balance sheets etc etc., you almost forget how much long hand there used to be.

The support received from AuctionMan staff is excellent, as mentioned before one of the most important things is to be able to make contact at almost anytime. Paul and Heather have always managed to provide this great service to clients, many times in the past (particularly the earlier years of AuctionMan) we have interrupted their holidays with a problem. Sometimes of course (I guess we are only human when all said and done), the problem has been created by us, on some occasions even we do do a silly thing, but as frustrating as it may have been to Paul at the time, he has always coped with the situation in his usual calm way.

We would definitely recommend AuctionMan to others, especially as any new user would be now receiving such a good reliable system, one that has been refined over many years, and also has had so much feed back and hence improvement from many auctioneers including of course ourselves.

Curnow Dyett

At Curnow Dyett (JH Curnow & Son Pty Ltd), based in Bendigo, Victoria, we have been using AuctionMan for almost twenty years, having originally provided systems advice and input to Paul Leeder & Associates in the development of the software. We have seen AuctionMan grow over the years to provide an efficient, robust and comprehensive auction operations and management program.

Over all these years, Paul Leeder & Associates have always provided outstanding service and on a number of occasions their telephone back-up has given detailed and painstaking assistance to talk us through problems (usually caused by our mistakes rather than issues with the software!).

AuctionMan is straight-forward and logical to operate and provides many management efficiencies. By way of example, today we conducted a 500 lot on-site chattels auction which commenced at 10:00am - we registered 120 buyers, the auction was completed, 94 invoices issued, monies collected, the sale balanced and reconciled, the vendor provided with a list of lots sold and I was back in my office dealing with other day to day matters by 4:00pm!

AuctionMan assists us to be the most efficient auctioneers in our region.

A. It is simple to use and has all the applications necessary to run an auction business successfully & efficiently.

A. When you have an auction of 1000+ lots it saves many hours of manual work and calculation. Many of our clients have commented on how quickly they can receive an invoice after the lot is knocked down to them.

A. I have found the AuctionMan staff to be extremely helpful and patient particularly when my technological knowledge of computers is not very good. As yet I have only dealt with Paul and he has the patience of a saint!

A. Yes I would and already have.

A. I would like to thank Paul for the help he has given me in the past even though it has sometimes been outside working hours. As our auctions are conducted on weekends I usually have my problems arise on the Saturday and Paul has always helped me through.

South Coast Auctions

Our company, South Coast Auctions Pty Ltd, has had the pleasure in dealing with Paul and Heather Leeder for approximately fifteen years.

In that time we have always been provided with a very professional and courteous staff, always making themselves available whenever required.

The AuctionMan Package has saved all of our staff precious time which would normally take hours locating information manually with the paper shuffle. The AuctionMan Package certainly makes life easier for all of us here and is easy enough for anyone wanting to learn how to use the system.

Our company when introduced to the package had not used computers before, so we were unfamiliar with the whole process of a computer being installed and then having the programs to learn as well. The Auction Centre, Katherine

We bought into this business (The Auction Centre, Katherine) in January 2004 and were told that we had to replace the auction program being used as it belonged to the former owners. Not knowing a lot about computers, or the programs in use, we investigated a program that we had been told about for auction houses. It was the AuctionMan program and it seemed very user friendly and simple to use...

We then went ahead and bought the program and have had a great run with it. Any time we have trouble with the program we only have to call the Help Desk and they are ready to help in any way. Considering that our business is located in the Northern Territory and the company for AuctionMan is in NSW the time difference should come into play, but it never has. We usually work until at least six or half past in the evening (sometimes as late as 10:00pm) and if we need help it is always there.

I must admit we were virtually computer illiterate when we started. Now we fly along with the program and this year we upgraded to the AuctionMan/PRO program. I would recommend this program to anyone who is in the business and anyone who wants to change to a very user friendly program, this is the one for you. If you are just starting out don't go for anything else - you have it all in AuctionMan!
